Time changes everything.
Kollie was the "girl next door" who didn't notice Jared in high school. Jared is the guy who could get any girl he wanted... except for the one whose face haunted his dreams.
Fast-forward three years:
Haunted by dark events while away, Jared returns home to begin his life anew. He's shocked to find the one girl he could never have sleeping in his own bed... the one girl he swore he would stay away from forever.
Hired by Jared's parents as nanny to his younger brother and sister, Kollie is a mess. Thrown out of her own home, she has found a new family and what she believes is happiness.
With Jared's return, Kollie is forced to face her own demons. Jared, struggling for redemption, tries to resist his renewed attraction. But it's no use. Temptation soon has its way in a storm of rapturous bliss... while forcing both to face dark pasts and tortured memories.
"You're beautiful," he whispers. Yep, I can die happy now.
"Thank you," I say quietly. I'm sure I'm twelve shades of pink. I need a distraction. Stat. Where are those damn kids? "For that, um, compliment. I was sure by not bathing today you'd be repulsed by me. Plan fail?"
He laughs at this and brushes a piece of hair away from my face, "Well you do smell kind of funny."
"I'm not the only one, did you also skip your shower?" I shoot back with a smile.
"No sweetheart, I had my shower, trust me. It was a freezing one."
Speechless. The vision in my mind can only be cured by one thing...

10. I live close to where they filmed The Walking Dead, and I've been a Stalker of the area for years. I still haven't sighted an Actor though.
10.2 I have one tattoo of the word "second" on my index "trigger" finger. It stands for the second amendment.
10.5 My daughter is named after Chyler who plays "Janie" from Not Another Teen Movie. (ALL HER HUSBAND'S IDEA)
E. N. Hudgins is new to the Author scene. She is currently working on her debut novel, Missing Summer, which is scheduled to release in 2016. She's been an avid reader for years and loves all genres of romance that include angst, especially the temper throwing cliffhangers. Her goal is to cause readers to scream, cry, and yell in a crowded library while reading her stories. She loves to write scenes that melt your heart and set your undies on fire.
When she's not writing she works as a graphic artist creating book covers and tantalizing teasers.
She lives in Georgia with her husband and two children. They have a dog named Dixon and a cat named Maggie. Yes, her pet names are inspired by The Walking Dead.
