Author Interview with T.M. Frazier

Interview with T.M. Frazier

Welcome to Secrets from the Boudoir book blog! It is absolutely my pleasure to interview you! First, I would like to mention that I am a huge fan of the King series.  I have to say each book sucks me in and doesn’t spit me back out until the very last page!

Why thank you so so much!

Now I’m dying to know—do you have a FAVORITE man from the series?  Your secret is safe with us! (Bear is totally my favorite).

They are all my favorite in different ways. Preppy is the closest to my heart but that’s because his sense of humor is very much mine and he has no filter and that all comes directly from me.

Were there any characters that were exceptionally challenging for you to write? Maybe one that hit a little too close to home?

I would say no. I’ve never gone through anything traumatizing in my life, but I have a crazy imagination. I grew up in a working class home with two parents who are still married. My dad says I watched too much TV as a kid and that’s where I get it all from. I’m sympathetic towards my characters though and I do find myself laughing and crying with them as I write.

What’s up next for you?  Any projects or characters dwindling in your mind begging to be written? YES. I have several written down and a few outlined.

I really hope to have a standalone I’m working on out in August and Up in Smoke, a spin off of the King Series, out later in the year or early 2018. I’m really really excited about these books.

Onto little lighter question—when you are not writing, what do you enjoy doing?

I have a two-and-a-half-year-old so I enjoy hanging out with her and my husband. She’s really into the beach lately and we live in Florida so last minute trips to Disney seem to happen a lot lately. When we are home I like to read a lot and I love date nights with Mr. Frazier, country music concerts, and spending too much money at makeup stores.

You’re a very talented writer but are you also a reader? If so, if there a certain book you’d recommend?

I am a reader before I’m a writer. I read all the time in tons of genres. My favorite book on the planet is Captive in the Dark by CJ Roberts. I just finished Royally Screwed by Emma Chase which was amazing.

I’m attending my first signing this weekend as a reader—what is your favorite aspect of book signings as an author?

In a lot of ways my readers know me more than most people from my day to day life know me. The book world is such a big part of my life that I feel like my readers are all my friends and when I go to signings it’s like getting to hang out with a bunch of like minded friends. It’s pretty amazing.

Finally, share with me the recipe to your FAVORITE drink? J

I drink light beer now (boring I know) but I used to be a cosmo girl all the way. The recipe for it is easy. You just turn to your significant other and say ‘hey babe, can you go to the bar and get me a cosmo?’ And voila!

Thank you so much for letting me pick your brain! I have enjoyed learning more about one of my FAVORITE authors out there!  Wishing you a fabulous day!  ~R.nicole

Thank you so much and thanks for taking the time to interview me. Happy reading!
