Interview with Celia Aaron

Hi Celia! Welcome to Secrets from the Boudoir- I am so pleased to have you here! I’ve been reading the dark romance genre for a few years now and I’m embarrassed to say I’ve only recently discovered your work—but I am ADDICTED.

Thanks so much!

First off, I’m curious- do you have an inspiration that lead you to the dark romance genre?

I’ve always loved paranormal romance, and I feel like that tends to have darker characters and themes than contemporary romance. I also love horror—twisted and creepy? Sign me up. So, I think those sort of lent themselves to me going darker.

I’ve also found your main male characters to be in a variety of positions (no pun intended)- but I’ve loved reading men in different types of jobs from professional to hitman.  Is there a new man brewing? Willing to give us a hint at what he might be?

My next lead is Sebastian Lindstrom. He’s a psychopath and works as CEO of his father’s lumber company. But don’t be fooled. This is no office romance. It’s more of a, hmmm, well you’ll see. ;)

Out of all of your characters- have you had a favorite you’ve written? Maybe one you’ve connected with more?

Sinclair from Acquisition is probably my fave. Sebastian is sneaking up, though.

I was paging through my Amazon profile page and one of my reviews for your Acquisition series I titled “Stella pulls a Cersei Lannister”; I burst out laughing at that title!! Have you jumped on the bandwagon that is Game of Thrones?

I watch religiously. Love that show.

When you aren’t writing what do you enjoy doing?

Playing with my brats, traveling, napping, and of course, reading. Always reading.

Can you tell us a random fact about yourself- maybe something completely off the wall?

My favorite word is “onion.”

Finally, share with me the recipe to your FAVORITE drink? J

This one’s simple as can be. (1) Get in car, (2) Go to any grocery store in the south, (3) buy a gallon (or several) of Milo’s Sweet Tea.

Thank you so much for answering my questions today! I’m so excited for The Bad Guy to come out and absolutely love the cover! It has been my pleasure to interview you.  Best wishes. ~R.nicole

Thanks for having me! I hope you enjoy Sebastian. He’s a trip. xx
